Research Chair

Professor Pierre Côté held the Canada Research Chair program in Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation from 2013-2023.  In 2023, he was awarded the Ontario Tech University Research Excellence Chair in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation.  More recently, in 2024, he was named the Hann-Kelly Family Chair in Disability and Rehabilitation Research.  As an epidemiologist, Dr. Côté's research focuses on the etiology, prognosis and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and disability. He has expertise in the design and conduct of randomized clinical trials, cohort studies, case-control studies, and systematic reviews.
